Frankfort Transit Center

Frankfort, Kentucky

Patriot was contracted to provide comprehensive materials testing services—including concrete, rebar, post tensioning inspection, and soils testing—for the construction of the Frankfort Parking Garage. Located in the heart of downtown Frankfort, this project presented several unique logistical and environmental challenges. Due to the central location, our team had to carefully navigate and coordinate around ongoing city traffic and limited site access. Additionally, construction occurred during the winter months, requiring special measures to ensure proper curing conditions for concrete. To maintain adequate temperatures, the parking structure was tarped and heated as needed, helping to ensure the structural integrity of the concrete throughout the curing process. This development marked the first major parking structure in the city of Frankfort, making it a significant milestone for the community. As a result, close coordination with the city was essential. Our team worked closely with local building officials and managed daily interactions with the city inspector to ensure compliance with all permitting and construction requirements.
