Indianapolis International ATAC - Indianapolis, IN

The project consisted of an approximately 340 feet tall by 28 feet in diameter air traffic control tower and two (2)-story terminal radar approach base building at the Indianapolis International Airport. Patriot provided a subsurface investigation to determine the soil and rock conditions within the area of the proposed air traffic control tower and terminal radar approach base building, along with providing recommendations to aid in the design of the foundation systems in conjunction with discussions regarding any potential construction difficulties due to soil, rock and/or groundwater conditions. Upon completion, the air traffic control tower was one of the tallest air traffic control towers in the eastern portion of the United States.
