
INDIANAPOLIS MUSEUM of ART EXPANSION
Indianapolis, Indiana
Construction began on this $75 million expansion in May of 2002 and was completed in May of 2005. This project consisted of a new 80,000 square feet exhibit area, 40,000 square feet exhibit storage area, a five level glass curtain wall atrium, site work, and a new two level, below grade, 700 car parking garage. The new exhibit and storage areas were arranged on four levels above grade with one below grade. This new section and parking garage were conventional cast in place concrete however, the parking roof structure was substantially enhanced to support the loading of approximately four (4) feet of soi to sustain growth of large trees and plants. Patriot provided reinforcing steel observations, concrete testing, backfill testing, and structural steel and weld inspections for this project.
