Evansville Arena - Evansville, Indiana
Prior to construction in late 2009, Patriot Engineering performed the Geotechnical Investigation for this project. Along with the geotechnical investigation, Patriot performed pile load tests by using strain gages in the piles. With this process Patriot was able to provide a significant cost savings to the project. Construction began in late 2009 for the 127.5 million dollar facility. The arena will be over 11,000 seats, which will host basketball, hockey, concerts and exhibitions. Patriot primary contact is with Joseph Eckhart with Hunt Construction. Patriot is in the process of performing auger cast pile inspections, concrete testing and inspections, reinforcing steel inspections, field density testing and firestopping inspections. The Evansville Arena is on schedule to open in late 2011.
